The former Mayor of Lewisham, Sir Steve Bullock, approved a bold target to build 500 new Council homes between 2014 and 2018. Lewisham Council delegated delivery of the majority of this programme to Lewisham Homes, its arms length management organisation that then managed its existing council housing.
